Hey, I'm Yash.

I build products at BharatPe — things like turning a million payment sound boxes into an ad platform (now doing ₹2 Cr a year), or figuring out why traders were leaving an options platform and actually fixing it. I like the messy middle between data, design, and getting things shipped.

Things I've worked on

Ads on Speaker

BharatPe has over a million sound boxes sitting in shops across India. I saw an untapped ad surface, pitched it at a company hackathon, and led the product from idea to launch. It's now generating ₹2 Cr in annual revenue — and projected to hit ₹4.5 Cr.

Credit Line on UPI

Nights and weekends

I also build things on my own time. Here's what I've been working on.

Splitwise

Live

A full-stack expense splitting app I shipped across three platforms — React web, React Native, and native Swift. The key UX insight: "shadow profiles" that let you split bills with people who haven't signed up yet, removing the biggest adoption friction.

A little about me

I studied mechanical engineering at IIT Kharagpur for five years, but ended up caring more about user problems than machine problems. When I'm not working, I play piano and guitar (mostly Coldplay at 2 AM), I'm always up for a tennis match, and I take my playlists more seriously than most people take their project roadmaps. Currently based in Gurgaon.

Want to work together?

I'm looking for product roles where I can combine analytical depth with hands-on building. If that sounds interesting, let's talk.
